The Universal Hardware Privacy Door Latch provides enhanced in-room security by allowing your door to be partially opened without providing full access. The privacy door latch is easy-to-use and ideal for homes or hotels and adds more protection than traditional chain door guards or swing bar locks. The privacy latch attaches directly to your door frame preventing any damage to the door slab. Installation is quick and easy and all installation hardware is included. The privacy latch is ADA compliant and has a 3 hour fire rating (UL Listed) for commercial use. NOTE: Cannot be used to prop door open

We provide wood screws in the package. When installing on steel door frame the consumer will have to purchase 1/4" machine screws from their local hardware store.
