The KW13.5 Winch is ideal for all custom Jeep class vehicles and full sized 4x4 trucks. Built with a 5.5 HP series wound 12v DC motor, 4-Way Roller Fairlead and full load holding break to ensure safe operation. The lift and turn free-spool clutch makes connections quick and easy to get back on the road. As standard equipment on all KW Series winches, the wireless remote allows the user the freedom to position themselves in the best spot during recovery. The 13,500 lbs. single line pull rating and 265:1 gear ratio is the perfect match for long term reliable performance.

WARNING: If the consumer/user changed the factory supplied 3/8” x 92’ of Galvanized wire rope to a smaller diameter wire rope trying to get the drum capacity to hold 120 feet of wire rope, the smaller diameter wire rope would result in a weaker and reduced SWL (Safe Work Load) and reduced winch capacity, no longer a 13,500 lbs. winch rating/capacity. We do not advise changing the factory installed wire rope, or using a wire rope that does not meet our factory specifications.

KWR16007 Replacement Circuit Breaker 3 x 50 amp
- Red small wire to large center post with large Red Cable is the power wire to the handheld controller or wireless receiver plug, and the large Red Cable is coming from the battery.
- Two black wires to the center small post would be ground
- The white (left hand small post) and the blue (right hand small post) are energized with positive to either retract or extend the winch.
Questions and Diagnose Tools:
Wireless remote not working? Confirm...
- The winch works correctly with the wired remote
- The wireless remotes do light up when pressing the buttons but the winch does not react (so not a dead remote battery issue)
- The wireless remotes did work previously.
Does the winch/solenoid ONLY click when trying to power out? (Could be if powering IN if the symptom was the revere direction)?
- If the solenoid ONLY clicks in one direction and works perfect in the other direction, issue could be the solenoid need replacement.
- If the solenoid only clicks in both directions, double check ALL wire and cable connections.
- Double check the Battery is fully charged and has 12 volts and the amperage in the battery to power the winch.
Second diagnosing process to confirm if the solenoid needs replacement

- Change the White and Blue wire on the solenoid, (BE VERY CAREFULL) this will reverse the winch’s direction. OUT will now be coming IN and IN will now be going OUT. But this will confirm if the solenoid has a one directional pole/contact failure.
