- The “Hot or Line or Live” (normally black) wire from the junction box (on house) should be connected to the black wire from the fixture.
- The “Neutral” (normally white) wire from the junction box (on house) should be connected to the white wire from the fixture.
- The “Ground” wire (normally green or bare copper) from the house should be connected to either the “Ground” screw on his junction box or the “GND” screw on the mounting bar.
If uncertain about which wires are the Hot, Neutral, or Ground wires or the wiring colors do not match it would be best to contact a qualified electrician. They can check the voltage to confirm the true voltage per wire color.
