Common issues when the temperature drops, the lubricant/oil in the closer body congeals, making it harder for the door to close. Affecting the timing of the door and often results in an incredibly slow closure rate or a complete inability to close or open the door. Issue will resolve itself when temperatures come up. A quick fix is to use a heat gun or blow hair dryer and bring the closer body temperature to just above freezing around 36-40 degrees. This will loosen the lubricant.
