The term “9,800 lbs webbing per inch width minimum” refers to the strength of the webbing material used in slings or straps. Specifically, it means that for every inch of width, the webbing can support a minimum of 9,800 pounds of force. Be sure use the correct capacity based on the type of lift when planning your lift and follow safe lifting procedures.
