- Internal bumper spring for prevention of rod bending.
- Adjustable latching power for summer/winter adjustment is located in the jamb bracket instead of in the end plug (because of the leaf spring extension). By placing the pin in the first hole, closest to the rod end, you will be getting maximum power. By placing the pin in second hole, furthest away from the rod end, the closer will function smoothly without the kick until the door is completely closed.
- Sheet metal screws are provided. Use 1/8" drill bit for all pilot holes.
For a full 90 degree opening position the open side of the jamb bracket ¼” from door. If mounted further away from door it will not open to 90 degrees.
CONTROLLED LATCHING POWER FEATURE
Installed as directed, with the door closer attached to the FRONT hole of the jamb bracket, the by
pass valve built into this closer will accelerate the closing speed of the door in the last few inches of
travel. This attachment position is recommended when the glass storm panel is in place. If a smoother, more quiet closing action is desired, hold door open about 8" with hold-open washer, remove
connecting pin from jamb bracket and relocated in REAR hole of bracket. This position is normally
used when the screen panel is in place (see Fig. A).
