920 Pneumatic
- For Wood or metal doors.
- Full 90 degree opening with two-hole end plug for summer/winter adjustment.
- Adjustable closer speed
- Sheet metal screws are provided. Use 1/8" drill bit for all pilot holes.
For a full 90 degree opening position the open side of the jamb bracket ¼” from door. If mounted further away from door it will not open to 90 degrees.
Latching Power Adjustment
Installed as directed, the closing speed of door will accelerate in the last few inches of travel. If a smoother, quieter closing action is desired, hold door open about 8" with hold-open washer, remove the long connecting pin and relocate door bracket to rear hole of door closer. (FIG C)
Q. How do you increase or slow down the closing speed on a pneumatic closer?
A. To adjust closing speed, rotate the adjustment screw on the end of the tube. Clockwise to slow down and counterclockwise to speed up.
Q. Why does my closer slam at the end of close?
A. Installed as directed, the closer is in maximum latching power position (pin in front hole). If less closing power is required, hold door open about 8" with hold-open washer, pull long connecting pin and relocate in rear hole.
Q. Why doesn't my door open to a full 90 degrees?
A. Check the distance the jamb bracket is mounted from the door, it shouldn't be more than ¼” from door. If mounted further away from door it will not open to 90 degrees.
Q. Why doesn't the holes on both ends of the closer line up with the brackets?
A. Attach the rod to the jamb bracket and turn the tube until the opposite hole lines up with door bracket. Or insert a small screw driver threw the hole on the rod, wrap fingers around screw driver and turn rod until both holes line up.
