2006 Version: 15 A resistive loading
The timer having following capacities:
- 15A, 1875W resistive (General Purpose)
- 10A, 1250W tungsten (Lighting)
Here is calculation only for 4 hours per day when timer ON
Resistive Timer (1875W)
Energy used by timer=1875 W×4 hours=7500 W/h
- Energy used by the timer: 7500 W/h or 7.5 kWh per day
Tungsten Light (1250W)
Energy used by light=1250W×4hours=5000 W/h
- Energy used by the tungsten light: 5000 W/h or 5 kWh per day.
Assuming if $0.12 per kWh, then for 4hours per day cost is $0.90
7.5kWh×0.12USD/kWh=0.90USD
Energy used by timer for general purpose while plugged in ( per hour) is 1.875kWh
Energy used by timer for general purpose without anything plugged ( per hour) is 0.001 to 0.002kWh
2009 Version: 10 A resistive loading
