Pelican 1170 has a .196 diameter padlock shackle hole. As received, it will only accept a TSA padlock with 4mm shackle.
Pelican IM2100 case has a .280 diameter padlock shackle hole. With slight modification, it will accept a 40mm padlock with 9/32 (.281”) diameter shackle.
All Commando padlocks have a 5/16”(.312) diameter shackle.
Both of these models are small gun cases. It is commonly accepted practice to enlarge the shackle holes in Pelican cases to accommodate padlock shackles. Both models will withstand clearance for a .312 shackle. I suggest using a 21/64 drill (.328) or a 5/16 (.312) and gently saw-file the hole open a little more until the shackle is able to be inserted freely.
The Commando gun lock of choice is our Blackout (SKU 1300) with double bumpers that won’t scratch your gun case or the table when you lay out your hardware.
